What is Earth Spirit Medicine?

“Earth” refers to and honors the Mother of us all, Mother Earth. The earth brings us life-sustaining abundance… plants, flowers, foods, our animal friends and neighbors, fresh water, clean air and nourishment. We honor the Earth with each conscious step we take on the Good Red Road of our lives. It is the Earth that provides a firm foundation upon which our consciousness may grow and develop.

“Spirit” refers to and honors the Source of All Things, the Universal Presence that sustains all life that nourishes our souls, our Hearts and our relationships. We are conduits for the Spiritual potency of this Universal Presence, and as we align our lives to our own understanding of Spirit, we act with respect, compassion and greater harmony.

“Earth Spirit” signifies the interconnection between all things, material and immaterial. Each one of us is an Earth Spirit with beautiful gifts, talents and voices that we need to know, develop and share. We are custodians of the precious life force within us and the life around us in nature. We are Nature. We are Nature Spirits, seeking to remember who we truly are.

“Medicine” refers to the alchemical process of healing and personal transformation that comes about through intentional relationship and the willingness to change. Healing is a process of awareness, a process of shifting consciousness into a greater understanding of reality… Our personal “medicine” varies as our needs for healing and understanding change and evolve. This term also honors the Sacred Medicine Wheel of Indigenous Nations, which provides us with spiritual containment and guidance on our life path.
