Meditations

Meditation is a method of self-awareness that promotes relaxation, mindfulness and a greater understanding of reality. There are many techniques and variations to explore in one’s meditation practice. Generally speaking, it is the means by which an individual may enter an altered state of awareness by focusing attention on a chosen point, mantra, or exercise. The meditative focus is a tool to concentrate the conscious mind so that a deeper, richer experience of reality may emerge.

There are many traditions, books and resources on meditation. The meditations presented here and in our monthly newsletter are intended to offer you new ways and perspectives to broaden and enrich your own practice. You are also invited to join us for The Earth Spirit Healing Circle which meets weekly to explore different methods of meditation, including but not limited to: breathing, sitting, standing, mantras, chanting, walking, movement, mudras, journeying, and drumming.
