The Galactic Underworld (January 5, 1999 through October 28, 2011)
The Mayan Calendar consists of 9 Underworlds. Each Underworld is a cycle of 13 Heavens (7 Days and 6 Nights), during which a new aspect of consciousness is expressed and developed. These levels of consciousness are: Cellular, Mammalian, Familial, Tribal, Regional, National, Planetary, Galactic and Universal.
The Galactic Underworld is the eighth Underworld. It is the evolutionary cycle during which the Divine Feminine rises to take Her place in sacred union with the Divine Masculine. This alchemical reunion ignites the path toward unity and invites us to open to vulnerability, receptivity, healing and intuitive awakening. In his book, The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness, Dr. Carl Calleman states that the Galactic Underworld is about the dissolution of national borders, the occurrence of divinely guided anarchy and the rise in the presence of the East - that which corresponds to the right brain hemisphere, intuition, feeling awareness and healing.
